New Assemblage Pieces

Connections, not only with people but with things, this facinates me. The gathering of objects, of materials and people, indirectly. A small plastic pig from China, painted by a person whom I will never meet. Packed, boxed, shipped over seas, distributed, sold at a corner store, bought by a man. A frame from a thrift store, a wooden block found on the street, painted, glued, assambled. The piece is now ready, photographed, cropped, shown to the world. This is not the work of a man, this is the work of many, of all. The connections are there, when we bother to look.

My Stars Align?

The stars will guide us, but to where? The children of the Milky Way are lost. The lights of the city blind us, so I'll take her hand and let her lead me, it's not that far now.

These are digital collages I created for a magazine that may or may not use them, oh well...

Yearbook Ladies - New Series - Painting 1

I started a new series based on photos from a 1961 yearbook I bought from a thrift store. The yearbook is from an all-girls Catholic high school. I like collecting yearbooks although I only have 3 so far, suprisingly I don't have any of the yearbooks any of my past schools.

New Art - A Bit Of Dada

Good evening, I finished a new piece that was inspired by the Dada movement. It's made of bits and pieces, some wood from Las Vegas, nails, an old cassette tape and various paints and color pencils. I had my doubts about it at first but I want to complete my pieces and try to sell them. Enough of all this lallygagging.

The Three Crosses - A Comment On War & Profits

I made these pieces a while back, a reflection of the Bush years. This is my small commentary on a huge, world engulfing subject, the death, brutality, religion and greed that goes along with all wars. My younger brother has joined the Army so I thought it will be a good time to bring these pieces out.
