The Three Crosses - A Comment On War & Profits

I made these pieces a while back, a reflection of the Bush years. This is my small commentary on a huge, world engulfing subject, the death, brutality, religion and greed that goes along with all wars. My younger brother has joined the Army so I thought it will be a good time to bring these pieces out.

I'm All Ears

This week my wife gave me a watercolor painting of her ear, pretty cool. Today at the Echo Park Farmers Market I found some delicious pastries, in Mexico they are called "Ears". Coincidence? I think God is telling me to listen....by the way these are the best "Ear" pastries I have ever tasted, the baker was a British lad.

Sketches From 2008

Someone once recommended sketching the people that are interviewed by Charlie Rose. I guess it has something to do with the minimal camera shots and editing. I decided to give it a try so here are some sketches from 2008.

I sold my first collage this week, this little ACEO titled "Alice". I'm really hoping this is the 1st of many sales to come, don't worry I'm still kepping my day job. I'm not a big fan of the whole starving artist thing. Maybe I can become dollar menu artist instead.
